PINGUINmexico
COMMING SOON!
Founded by artist Ilan Weiss, the PINGUIN Residency is a new initiative dedicated to promoting Belgian artistic talent in Mexico. Conceived as a pilot exchange program, it invites established Belgian artists to spend a creative period in Mexico City, working from the historic Edificio Humboldt — a building that hosts a community of artists, curators, and designers in the city’s cultural center.
The residency offers participants both a studio and housing environment immersed in the local art scene, within walking distance of the city’s most important museums, galleries, and markets. Beyond production, the program’s aim is to open doors: to connect Belgian artists with the vibrant networks of Latin American contemporary art, encouraging visibility, dialogue, and collaboration.
